These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the website certifiedrecycling.org (the “Site”) and the services provided by Certified Recycling, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”), including but not limited to appliance recycling, electronics recycling, furniture recycling, paper shredding, pickup services, and drop-off services (collectively, the “Services”).
By accessing our Site or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Site or Services.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use our Site, create an account, place an order, or schedule a pickup. By using our Site or Services, you represent that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal authority to enter into these Terms.
Certified Recycling, LLC provides residential, commercial, and municipal recycling services for appliances, electronics, furniture, and other accepted items. We also offer document destruction and paper shredding services through our partnership with Veteran Shredding. Our Services include on-site pickup throughout the Twin Cities metro area and drop-off at our Burnsville, MN facility.
We accept a wide range of appliances, electronics, furniture, and other recyclable items as listed on our Site. We reserve the right to update the list of accepted items at any time.
We cannot accept the following items: paints, medical waste, containers of chemicals, or any materials classified as hazardous waste under federal or Minnesota state law. If you are unsure whether an item is accepted, please contact us before scheduling a pickup or drop-off.
If prohibited items are included in a pickup or drop-off without prior disclosure, we reserve the right to refuse those items, return them to you, or assess additional fees for their safe handling and disposal.
All prices for our Services are listed on our Site and are subject to change without prior notice. Pricing is determined based on the type and quantity of items being recycled and any additional services requested such as disassembly or special handling.
We accept cash, check, and credit card (American Express, Discover, MasterCard, and Visa). A 2% processing fee applies to all credit and debit card transactions.
Additional fees may apply for services beyond standard pickup or drop-off, including but not limited to item disassembly, special handling, items requiring additional labor, or items not disclosed at the time of scheduling.
When you place an order or schedule a pickup through our Site, you agree to provide accurate and complete information. We will make reasonable efforts to fulfill your order or pickup request within the timeframe communicated to you, but all dates and times are estimates and not guaranteed.
Our cut-off time for scheduling pickups is 3:00 PM on the current business day. Requests submitted after 3:00 PM may be rescheduled to the next available business day.
We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule any order or pickup due to weather, equipment issues, staffing, route capacity, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. If we cancel a scheduled pickup, we will contact you to reschedule.
Drop-off services are available at our facility located at 14305 Ewing Avenue, Burnsville, MN 55306 during posted business hours. You are responsible for transporting items to our facility. Our attendants will assist with unloading at the designated drop-off area.
You agree to follow all posted signage, instructions from our staff, and safety protocols while on our property. We are not responsible for any damage to your vehicle that occurs during the drop-off process unless caused by the gross negligence of our employees.
We offer data destruction services for electronic devices. We permanently destroy all personal data on electronic devices without ever powering on those devices. Certificates of Recycling and Certificates of Data Destruction are available upon request. Additional fees may apply for certificates.
While we take reasonable precautions to ensure complete data destruction, we do not warrant or guarantee that all data on every device is irrecoverably destroyed. You are encouraged to remove or back up any data you wish to retain before submitting devices for recycling.
If you create an account on our Site, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for any reason, including but not limited to violation of these Terms.
All content on our Site, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Certified Recycling, LLC or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content on our Site without our prior written consent.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Certified Recycling, LLC, its owners, officers, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of our Site or Services, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or personal injury, regardless of the theory of liability.
Our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to these Terms or our Services shall not exceed the total amount you paid to us for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms shall limit liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
Our Site and Services are provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that our Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant that the results obtained from the use of our Services will be accurate or reliable.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Certified Recycling, LLC, its owners, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to your use of our Site or Services, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of a third party.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Minnesota, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or our Services shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Dakota County, Minnesota, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.
Our Site may contain links to third-party websites or services. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or terms of any third-party sites. Your use of third-party sites is at your own risk.
When you use the “Text Us” widget on our Site, you are submitting a voluntary inquiry. Your name, phone number, and message are transmitted to our business for the purpose of responding to your request. We do not send automated text messages or marketing communications to you through this widget. Standard messaging and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply when you communicate with us by phone or text following your inquiry.
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing our obligations under these Terms if such failure or delay results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, severe weather, pandemics, government actions, labor disputes, supply chain disruptions, or utility failures.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of our Site or Services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
